A Feeling Untitled

Concept

A Feeling Untitled presents an intimate and vulnerable scene featuring twelve fragmented and disembodied plaster sculptures arranged on a memory foam mattress. Positioned deliberately on the floor, the viewer is compelled to look down on the form, creating a sense of power-play, introspection, and engagement. The fragmented pieces collectively form an abstract female body, their untouchable, pale white plaster highlighting the material's natural properties. This choice to leave the material in its raw state reflects my interest in the physical properties of materials and their ability to evoke natural processes and human physiology. The creation of this piece was guided by an iterative process of repeated actions, reflecting my interest in the transformation and evolution of materials over time. The sculpture serves as an extension of my body, inviting contemplation on themes of fragmentation, memory, and the inherent vulnerability of the human form.
